THE BOSS MAN (2) narrowly on top. He's run third in both starts to date, only beaten a length here on debut before another sound effort at Pakenham Synthetic. He's a horse with good early speed who can improve again and take plenty of catching. EN FLIQUE (4) continues to race very well, just finding one better at her past three starts. First try on a synthetic surface but seems fairly adaptable and will be hard to hold out. CHAMPAGNE WISHES (3) was just fair on heavy going at Wangaratta last time out but had been good on resumption and firmer footing will suit. Takes catching. MADAM MOSSMAN (6) is a filly by National Defense on debut. Wouldn't shock entirely. LOWESTOFT (5) is a filly by Shamus Award on debut and finds a winnable race.
