HONOKA (6) failed to fire at Riccarton on the poly track 9 days ago when needing the run. She has a good draw, and a form reversal is on the cards. Can win. REVISION (5) is well seasoned with her recent racing being on the Riccarton poly track. She has a good draw and will appreciate stepping up from a mile to 1 ?m here. Hard to beat this time. ASCEND (1) was tired over a mile here nearly 9 weeks ago and is bred to relish getting out over a middle distance for the first time. His stable will have him ready to run a big race here. PRINCESS SOLITAIRE (7) stuck on well enough over this trip, just over 3 weeks ago on the Riccarton poly track, and won't have any fitness concerns here. This field is not strong, and she is worth including in all combinations. DESCARO (3) has not raced up to expectations in her last couple of starts over 7f and will be trying a middle distance for the first time. A form reversal would be no surprise.
