NHL Prop Bets
Oliver Bjorkstrand Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-113)
The Seattle Kraken will look to end the first half of the season on a high note against the San Jose Sharks tonight.
One final game for the Kraken before the All-Star breaks sees them in a matchup against the worst team in the NHL, which should mean plenty of offense tonight.
Seattle comes in with a 3.21 implied goal total and could exceed that mark in a hurry versus a defense that has allowed 3.20 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations this season, which is the worst in the league.
In more non-shocking news, the Sharks' defense allows 68.69 Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is also the worst in the NHL.
This leads me to Oliver Bjorkstrand, who leads the team with 26 shots on goal over his last 10 games. The first-time All-Star skates on the third forward line and the first power-play line for the Kraken, which should give him ample opportunities to pile up the shots tonight.
Kirill Marchenko Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+114)
With a strong role, Kirill Marchenko will look to keep the shots going versus the St. Louis Blues.
Surprisingly, Marchenko leads the Columbus Blue Jackets in both goals and shots on goal this season, not something you would expect from a second-year player.
This has led to 32 shots on goal over his last 10 games, while seeing time on the second forward line and the first power-play unit.
When it comes to the Blues' defense, they are only allowing 2.06 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations over the last two weeks, which is the 10th best in the league.
While that is really solid, we aren't looking for a goal here, just some shots on goal. Over those same two weeks, the Blues have allowed 61.29 Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the 11th worst in the league.
Marchenko may not be able to get a puck to find the back of the net tonight, but he will certainly have his chances to rack up the shots, something he's been doing all season long.
