Verdict

MAZINO (4) has been thereabouts in all of her starts this season, and should secure a run that suits her from a reasonable draw. She won't lack fitness and is overdue for her first win. On top. ARCTIC JEWEL (5) finished runner-up on debut as the favourite after showing a lot of promise at the trials. Her subsequent 2 starts have also been full of merit, and from a good gate, she will be hard to hold out. FLASHBACK (2) won all of his 3 trials before finishing runner-up on debut at Tauranga 2 weeks ago, finishing just over a length from the winner. He will naturally improve second up, and can go one better here. KUSUDA RUSH (1) was put aside after a couple of solid efforts in the spring, and he is still at the improving stage of his career. He cops a tricky gate, but is still good enough to give this field a shake fresh. THE MAILMAN (3) will be peaking third up after a couple of sound fifths to open this season. Include in all top 4 combos.
