Verdict

OH LOVEY NO (7) was an eye-catcher fresh when flashing home into second at Strathalbyn, then backed it up with another strong chasing second at Murray Bridge. Hitting her straps now and should handle the added trip. Chadwick reunites and has a good association. Can go one better this time. THE HIGHLANDER (9) stuck on gamely into fourth when resuming. Will be better for that run and is drawn to get all the favours for Holder. Big threat. YOUBEEFORTY (3) never looked likely last time at Bordertown when getting too far back but made good late inroads. Expect him to relish the rise in trip on the quick turnaround, and the Murtagh booking is a positive push. FIORA BLUE (6) was an impressive maiden winner two back when leading pillar-to-post. Not as effective last time when ridden quieter, but if more forward early she can give this a shake.

Second-up. First-up after two months 4th of 12 at Strathalbyn 3yo+ Mdn-Sw on December 10 over 1 ¼m, 1.4 len behind Tan Tat Gold with 118lbs at $14. Previously second-up second last of 10 at Murray Bridge 3yo+ Mdn-Sw on September 17 over 1m, 12 len behind Belle From Hell carrying 123lbs at $81. Capable of building on that performance and he looks one of the main chances.
