CARPE ASTRA (11) has shown promising signs in her first two outings and looks ready to peak now. She'll be handy in the run again and, with natural improvement, should take plenty of holding out. TOTAL LOVE (7) debuts for the Seyers yard and is bred to be smart, being by Shalaa out of stakes-winner Equal Love. His lead-up work has been sharp and he's expected to make a bright start to his career. ELEGANT LILLY (12) looked poised to go on with the job when resuming at Oakbank but just lacked that final bit of fitness late. She'll be much better for the run and is capable of going one better here. SUMMERTIME MADNESS (2) made solid ground second-up and has been kept fresh since, with a Strathalbyn trial to keep him ticking over. He'll likely drift back from the wide draw and be saved for the final shot at them.
