THUNDER SHOC (7) was a strong winner at headquarters last start, finishing full of running. Kept fresh with a month between runs and in light again with the claimer sticking. She can add to her impressive record. VINTAGE STAR (3) has built nicely this prep. Was left with too much to do behind Thunder Shoc last time, though he made good late ground. Toeroek taking over is a strong push. WINNING REVOLUTION (1) is a five-time winner at the trip and is rarely far away. Freshened after pulling up lame, he gets in well with the claim and maps favourably to give this a shake. THE GREAT BABY (2) resumes and boasts a consistent record, missing the frame just once from five starts. Jumped out well and with the 7lbs claim is right in the mix. BRISTLER (6) bounced back to form last start here when taken forward and proving too tough. Faces another wide draw but deserves respect.

A pari-mutuel pool – typically a show pool - where one horse is so heavily bet that after deductions there is not enough money left to cover the prescribed minimum on each bet.

A slip or a duck from a horse trying to leave the starting gates, often caused by the surface giving way under the feet. This can range from a mild misstep to a stumble down to their knees.
