GOLDEN AGE (5) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.2 lengths over 6f at Moe. That was a much tougher race than this, so looks well-placed. SHANGHAI VENTURE (8) finished 0.9 lengths from the winner in fourth last start after being prominent at the turn over 5 ?f at Kyneton, an improvement on her sixth at Geelong the run before. KENTAHTEN (1) was only narrowly beaten last time out, which followed a suitable first-up run and has previously demonstrated a liking for this track. DOMINANT MISS (11) has not won for a long while. Last raced on November 18 when beaten 2 lengths into sixth at Kyneton over 5 ?f. Placed to advantage so expect a better run this time. ELLMAKNIFICO (14) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 6f at Bairnsdale after missing the placings at the previous appearance and looks to have found a suitable race.
