LAYBUY (7) won two runs ago when resuming but couldn't repeat the dose last time when fourth over 1 ³/16m at Tatura. Capable of a quick return to form third-up with a run at this trip under the belt. BOOKMAN (3) bounced back last start and got the job done by 4 lengths over 1 m at Healesville. This is a step up and meets some better types this time but will have gained some confidence from that win. DUSTY'S DEEL (6) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second last start over 1 ?m at Wycheproof. Likely improver with strong prospects. JAYZEAL (5) turned in a better run last start, beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth over 1m at Tatura. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance. CRYPTIC CLUE (4) found winning form early in the prep in this grade and this is a drop back in class on last start, so no reason he can't be a major player.
