Verdict

Tough way to end the day, but FLOSSING (2) looks to have found the right race to return to break his lengthy winning drought. Is back in trip, but recent efforts have been in tougher grade than this and three of his seven wins have come at the mile. Has also run top two at five of his six Heavy track runs so if the predicted ran does arrive that won't bother him. ANOTHER NEPHEW (4) should be ready to fire after four runs back from a spell and the last-start third in 64 grade was his first this prep out of BM70 company. BATOKA CHIEF (5) looked a star on debut and ended last prep with a confidence-boosting win. Wilted late in a recent jumpout, so might need this but certainly has the talent to be winning. CROSSOVERKID (10) made an encouraging return in lesser grade but should have improvement to come and is up to a more suitable trip. SOUND OF JURA (6) ran well here first-up ad will be running on strongly again.
