Verdict

Challenging race to start the day with punters forced to weigh some handy raced form against some first-starters who have looked good at the jumpouts. FENESTELLA (4) is the one we've seen and she will find this much easier than last start at Flemington when she was inconvenienced early in the straight but stoked up nicely late. Also ran fourth at her only other start, which was here, so has experience on the track. TWO STROKE BABY (8) looks primed for a big debut off three nice jumpouts. Led to win the first of them and then appeared to go the line with plenty in hand at the next two. YUM (9) will have derived great benefit from the first up run and quickly gets to 7f, which looks advantageous. AFTER SUMMER (1) comes here off two Flemington jumpout seconds, the latest behind Shining Smile, which hints that she has some talent. CLASSIC GEM (3) finished immediately behind Fenestella on debut so warrants consideration.
