Verdict

Competitive race. GELLHORN (4) had always promised a bit and resumed with a strong win at Seymour over 6 ½f in a good BM62, proving too strong late there. Second up last time in she ran 4th in a Listed race, and she should have taken improvement second up. With a bit of luck from the wide draw she can win again. REINA ISABELLA (6) is another off a good win first up, scoring comfortably at Pakenham when getting through conditions best. She clearly loves wet ground and won't get that here but has run well enough on good tracks to figure here. STAGE 'N' SCREEN (3) was behind Reina Isabella last time but did start a near identical price there and should be fitter. She can turn the tables on firmer going. QUEEN OF TUSCANY (1) did enough first up at Caulfield Heath in a good race. Fitter for the rise to 7f and is suited in this grade, she has each way claims.
