Verdict

Tricky sprint. BLACKBERRY BOMB (6) ran a solid race first up over 6f at Caulfield Heath in a stronger race, beaten 1.4 lengths into fifth. She mixed her form last time in but the best of it reads well for this and she can hold a spot from the low gate. PACIFIC GLAMOUR (8) resumed with an easy maiden win on wet ground at Ballarat, scoring by 3.5 lengths. She can kick up from barrier one and her natural upside sees her firmly in the mix. AUCKLAND (2) is flying, winning his past four, all over 5f. This is harder again going from a BM56 to a BM66 but he has to be respected. CONDOR (1) struggled last time but stuck on fairly well fresh and the 4 ¾f is right up his alley. PER IVY (7) won well at Pakenham last time and is in the mix.

Most recently came from midfield and won by a neck at Mornington Bm56 November 10 over 5f on a rain affected track defeating Over Boost carrying 139lbs at $5.50. The start before that raced right near the speed and boxed on, won by 0.8 len at Echuca Bm56 October 20 over 5f defeating Zemgrinda with 134lbs at $2.80. More depth again but is flying, can figure.
