Verdict

EYE FOR AN EYE (1) ran first up over 1 ¹/16m at Sale, finishing near the rear in a small field, beaten 3.5 lengths. He was in the market there and is still lightly raced, likely taking good fitness improvement from that. Prior to a spell he ran a narrow second in a decent three-year-old race at Caulfield and anything like that goes close here. GENRICHERO (2) is a consistent type, winning easily over 1 ?m at Sale two back before just finding one better here over 1 ½m last time out. Tricky draw this time around but with a bit of luck early he'll be in the finish. OUTCASTER (6) notched up her second win from three starts over this route last start, getting the upper hand late in BM58 grade. She maps for a nice run here and can measure up. BLACK PEPPERMINT (5) should be at peak fitness and rates a winning chance.
