Verdict

Looks a good race for LEGACY BAY (3) to find winning form. She's been thereabouts without getting the job done this preparation, just missing at Sandown Lakeside two back before a solid run when well backed behind a tearaway leader at Flemington. This looks winnable if she can go to the well again. MATAWAI (1) has been good in three runs back, getting into the frame when last seen at Pakenham. She sets up well here tracking the speed and should take beating. BUTTERNUT PRINCESS (5) was disappointing when heavily supported in the same Pakenham race last time, perhaps over-bet off a 'spike' return in a rich race at Cranbourne. She can bounce back here third up. RUSSIAN CHOICE (7) is a lightly raced filly in her first campaign. She ran well in a decent race at Flemington last time out and can figure again. EDEN ROSE (6) has the peak figures to challenge and back to 7f here could suit.
