Verdict

DIFFERENT GRAVY (1) is clearly the horse to beat. He was dominant winning at Listed level at Flemington during Cup week, settling a long way back but charging away to win by two lengths. He'll relish rising to 1 ¼m here with Zahra sticking and this won't take any more winning than last time. If there's a danger, it's CALL DA VINCI (3) who comes through the G2 Sandown Guineas won by Sheza Alibi, who put a space on her rivals. They went slowly in that race and Call Da Vinci was unsuited back in the field. His late sectionals were the third-fastest in the race and he should appreciate rising to 1 ¼m now. KALEO (2) beat Call Da Vinci home there albeit with a better run in transit. He's bred to stay and is an each way hope. BRAVE DANZA (4) tried hard behind Different Gravy last time and can stick on for another minor placing. GOLD TOPAZ (8) brings similar form and maps well.

Recent form sound. Most recently favourite, was well back until straightening, raced back then made ground from the turn, won by 2 len at Flemington LR Batman Stks November 4 over 1m on a rain affected track defeating Brave Danza carrying 126lbs at $4.40. The race before that 2nd of 11 at Morphettville in the LR Hill Smith on October 18 over 1m, nose behind Freedom Flame carrying 126lbs at $10. Huge win last time, might just be better than these.
