Verdict

BLACK RUN (2) looks the one to beat again. He was well ridden by Tom Marquand to win at Randwick two back and measured up here last time, taking a sit behind the leader but getting a gap and coming away to win well. This doesn't look any harder and he'll take plenty of catching again. ZIRYAB (4) is an interesting one. His form this time in is better than the form guide reads. Fancy he was unsuited despite racing close to a slow speed last time, out sprinted after coming through a pair of fast races. Now gets to 1 ½m fourth up and Zahra sticks. WONDER KID (5) was solid with 134lbs two back behind Zambardo which reads well before striking a very heavy track at Kyneton. Can forgive that, look for improvement. The consistent TIKEMYSON (8) was good behind Black Run last time and has claims to turn the tables down in the weights. GENRICHERO (11) is through the same form and a place hope.
