Verdict

SACRED MIST (7) has only been lightly tried and does run the odd good race. She resumes from a spell and will be a lot stronger now. Her stable has struck some form, and a wide draw might not be a bad thing by the last race of the day. Hard to beat. MORUS (8) just battled in a higher grade here in the middle of June, and has been given a freshen up. She drops right down in class and has Kylie Williams back in the saddle. He is not to be underestimated over a mile. GANGSTA GRANNY (4) battled on strongly in a competitive field at Riccarton nearly a fortnight ago. She is better placed in this and can bounce back into the money. Include in all combinations to be safe. ORSOME DUDE (9) made up a stack of late ground to finish runner-up at Riccarton 6 days ago. He only has to produce a similar run to be a winning hope in this. QUICK STORY (5) is resuming from a spell and usually takes a run, but she is down in class, and could be one to spice up any multiples.
