QUARTZ QUEEN (13) was very brave when finishing fourth at Riccarton nearly 2 weeks ago. She set the pace that day and fought all the way to the line. She may try similar front-running tactics here, and in a field with less depth to it, she could take them all the way. NIGHT RAIDER (4) is a stablemate of the top pick who was third and just ahead of that runner in the same race last time out. He can settle just off the pace here and is overdue for his next win. TOWN BELT (11) has been a touch disappointing in her last couple of starts and cops a wide gate here. She has been placed in 2 of her 3 starts on this course, and is not to be taken lightly in this modest contest. Include in all combinations. EL CHAPEAU (8) won fresh up here a year ago and will be even stronger this season. Don't underestimate him, especially from a good draw. HOUSE OF TUDOR (9) resumes from a spell without a public trial but hails from an astute stable, and she is worth including in all combinations.
