Verdict

Cracking Champions Mile. Siding with the old champion himself in MR BRIGHTSIDE (1) who won this last year. He ran very well in the King Charles last time, working out wide on speed and looking gone at the 1f but battling away as gamely as ever to finish second. He'll roll across here to tag the speed and any give in the ground will suit him down to the ground. PRIDE OF JENNI (7) is a marvel. Whenever she appears 'gone', she produces a performance like she did in the Empire Rose on Saturday, winning by 4.5 lengths. She got her scenario there with an easy lead on fast ground, that may not be the case here. TREASURETHE MOMENT (9) was excellent in the Cox Plate last time, back to 1m no issue at all, she lands in a great spot and has the class. CEOLWULF (2) was awesome winning the King Charles with blinkers on. A fast tempo is key for him, Jenni in the race can see him repeat the dose. PERICLES (3) will run another honest race.
