Verdict

Plenty of in-form maidens come together in a competitive race to kick things off. DOUBLE VISION (4) raced handy and finished a close third on debut over 5 ¾f at the Kensington track. The runner-up subsequently came out and won by three. Happy with that form line which gives her the verdict narrowly ahead of BELLO CAVALLO (3) who was an eye-catcher in the Magic Millions Maiden last time out. Four winners have come from that race so it too is an excellent form reference. Nicely drawn and will be tough to hold out. FEMININO (7) firmed from $4.80 to $3.90 on debut recently but found a couple better over 6 ¼f at the Kenso. Bred to stay so this slightly longer trip is a big help. SUPERATA (6) recorded his fifth minor placing from eight starts when a closing second over this distance at the Kensington track three weeks ago. Has less upside than some of these but is racing too well to rule out. VELARIS (2) and KOKATAHI (1) are also live chances.
