MERIDIANA (1) had the race parcelled up a long way out when a dominant winner over 1m at Newcastle with the 129lbs. Stanley's 7lbs claim gives her a great chance again out to the 1 ?m. BROSNAN (3) racing in great order and doesn't need to find much to take this out. Surged late when a tough third over 1 ?m here. Rawiller stays aboard and should be able to race a touch closer. Top-three player. LUSKAIRE (2) not too sure where his ceiling is as he chases his fifth-straight win. Has to shoulder an extra 7lbs today but gets map favours from the inside gate. Sure to be thereabouts. ROTAGILLA (4) ready for this trip fourth-up and no surprise to see him get the better of Meridiana today. Can get cover from the draw and Tim Clark stays aboard. SOSINO (6) indicated a win was imminent when third here at latest.
