Verdict

Maidens don't come a lot weaker than this which means WHAT A GENT (8) is a tremendous chance to open the account. Very good two back when beaten under a length over the mile at Dubbo in a Class 1. Went poorly at Wyong on Sunday but the five-day back-up is a good sign from the stable. Should be too good if on-song. NORTOKO (6) worked home well to finish second over 6 ½f at Narromine two back then went poorly at Warren last time. Hard one to follow but the addition of blinkers for the first time may have some effect. BROADCAST BOOGIE (3) returned her best figure at her only visit to Orange when edged out in a 7f maiden on 9 October. Finding the line well and should enjoy getting to this distance for the first time. WEDDAMEENOOTZ (2) was left behind first-up at Hawkesbury but can do better in this easier race with the blinkers on. FLAMEON (5) isn't the most reliable conveyance but must go in the exotics.

The run before that gave a sight but was run down late 3rd of 8 at Dubbo Cl1-Sw on November 1 over 1m, 0.7 len behind Brutal Elegance carrying 125lbs at $10. Terrific chance to break through in a very soft maiden.

Conversations silk

Last start came from midfield, 3rd of 10 at Warren Mdn on November 9 over 7f, 6 len behind Yiasou carrying 127lbs at $31. The run before that 2nd in a small field at Mudgee Mdn-Sw on October 25 over 7f, on a slow track, 1.0 len behind Spirit Of Saintly with 130lbs at $2.50. Doesn't need to improve a great deal to take this out.
