LIGHT YEARS CHARM (9) has made an encouraging start to his local career with a couple of fast-finishing efforts to open the season and he should have finished closer than fourth last time out after being held up at a vital stage. He gets a draw upgrade and also has Zac Purton in the saddle which makes him the one to beat this time. ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (13) ruined his winning chances as favourite last time out by making a slow start. He has won a trial since then and can bounce back to take this out. LIVEANDLETLIVE (7) ran on late to finish sixth here in his local debut and he is sure to be improved by that run. He will want more ground in the future but can still have a say in the finish here. Watch for him late. GRACIOUS EXPRESS (2) seems to be at his best when allowed to stride along in the lead. He might have to work a bit from a wide gate but James McDonald will still give him every chance. PATCH OF COSMO (12) did not have much luck and is worth another chance at each-way value.
