KA YING RISING (1) is the new star on the Hong Kong scene and is chasing back-to-back G1 successes after winning the Hong Kong Sprint here 6 weeks ago. He cruised home in a recent trial and should be too good again. HELIOS EXPRESS (3) has had a couple of trials since finishing runner-up behind the top pick last time out. He will be doing his best work late again but may have to grow another leg to dethrone that runner. HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE (4) let down powerfully from last to get up and score by a nose in the G3 Bauhinia Sprint Trophy 18 days ago over 5f. The extra furlong won't be an issue and with James McDonald back in the saddle, he can run into the money again. MAGIC CONTROL (8) has plenty of pace and was only run down late by the third pick here last time out. He steps up to G1 company for the first time and his early pace gives him a chance for a place.
