MOMENTUM SHIFT (1) has been racing well since a Shepparton win last month, last week coming from wider but boxing on well to place. Should get his chance from the ace draw. FIRE MARSHALL (5) has had two months off since tackling the Vicbred Super Series where his best result was a fourth in the heats. Kept up to the mark with a trial since and is much better placed in this company. MONTANA PRIDE (11) continued a strong run of form when taking advantage of the ace draw to lead and score by 2.3 metres last week at Geelong. Tougher draw here but has put together three wins and two placings from his last five outings and has won two of three attempts at this circuit and distance. LAMBRO MACH (7) must be respected after back-to-back wins, one at this circuit and distance when off a similar barrier. HANDLER (8) drew on this row and worked but toughed out a last-start win at this venue. Respect.
