CHAMPAGNE CHARLEY (7) form this prep has been excellent and he made it two from two when successful at his latest appearance over 1 5/16m at Shepparton, getting home by 2.5 metres. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he good enough to play a major role. JOHNS BOY (12) is looking to improve on his last-start sixth behind Phoebe Onyx at Group Three level over 1 ?m at Globe Derby Park two weeks ago. Top-shelf performer who is well-placed to atone. LINK IN BIO (5) was unplaced two starts ago then things went amiss last start when she broke and finished 30 metres away in fifth over 1 5/16m at Maryborough. Must get things right but if she does a big run is on the cards. AVANT GUARD (9) is worth some thought despite his last-start run for eighth eighth over 1 5/16m at Maryborough on November 2.
