HUXTON (4) is a lightly-raced but progressive former Kiwi who left New Zealand following a win at Addington and made a winning start for Clayton Harmey when leading to score by 8m at Newcastle. That was his first outing for seven weeks so it should have improved him and he has plenty of upside so can take this next step. ONYX SHARD (7) only beat one home last start but this is easier and she had put three placings together at this circuit prior so can bounce back. FEAR THE PAIN (10) is a newcomer to the Stanley yard and brings good form from Wagga including a last-start win. Draws wide but can measure up. SUNSET STRIDE (8) draws deeper but did a good job in a last-start win at Bathurst.
