NAMAKA (8) has been solid in two outings since a midfield finish in the Queensland Oaks, finishing only 1.8m away when tackling older male rivals two back before chasing a smart one when runner-up in a heat of this series last time. Draws out but is good enough to overcome that and win. MANHATTEN CHICK (4) came from this barrier to place against older mares here then drew wider and raced parked when third in a heat of this series a Newcastle last time. Beat Namaka when fourth in the Queensland Oaks back in July. Big chance. SENSATIONALIZE (1) drew wide and worked last start so that result can be overlooked. Had finished runner-up in her other three starts this time in and is much better served by the ace draw. VIOLET HANOVER (2) draws much better than last start and has claims off her form in the Blue series here earlier in her campaign when she won a heat and was second in the G2 final. TREACHEROUS BELLE (6) has been racing consistently and could measure up.
