Verdict

RANGER RICK (13) was responsible for a very good effort last time over 1m at Geelong, finishing second and just a head back from the winner. May just need a bit of luck at some point from this difficult draw. Meets a similar lineup and he can take this out. KATUNGA EXPRESS (8) produced a better effort last start when second over 1 5/16m at Bendigo, beaten 8 metres. No harm in drawing here with the sprint lane to rely upon. Finds a nice race and will prove very tough to beat once more. RUBY WINGATE (12) is better than her last-start ninth over 1 5/16m at Kilmore. Include in all combinations. YAPPER (6) disappointed last time when eighth over 1 5/16m at Mildura. Can do a lot better so worth considering.

Two back was well beaten into sixth after being driven well back, behind Ideal Moth at Shepparton over 1 5/16m in a NR up to 59 on June 17 at $10. Then a handy effort when beaten by 8 m finishing second behind Ideal Moth at Bendigo over 1 5/16m in a NR up to 59 on June 25 at $13. Hard to beat if the gaps come at the right time.
