AU1 - St Arnaud - Race 9

IAMAWINGATE (1) started from a wide draw on the front line last start. Went forward to settle handy then couldn't finish the race off and finished 18 metres from the winner in fifth at Charlton over 1m. Meets a comparable field and from a far better starting position he can figure in the finish. TEX GOES BANG (12) finished fourth last start, beaten 10 metres at Shepparton over 1 m. Capable of playing a major role so has to be respected. TOPHUT JOHNY (10) is a great chance after a string of sound recent performances, the latest a solid fifth at Bendigo over 1 m. Hard to find fault. YANKEE GAMBLER (9) cannot be ruled out but needs a bit of luck from the tricky draw.
