AU1 - St Arnaud - Race 3

ATABOY CHARLIE (4) was successful at his most recent outing by 4 metres at Maryborough over 1 5/16m after an encouraging minor placing the start before. Meets a comparable field so he is capable of taking this out. ALFIE ALWAYS (7) found form and finished in the money two runs ago then came back to earth when he broke and finished eighth last start over 1 5/16m at Maryborough, coming home 30 metres from the winner. Won't find this any harder so he can return to form. ALDEBARAN ANTON (10) good effort to finish in the money two back then broke last start but still scored by 9 metres over 1 5/16m at Mt Gambier. It doesn't get any easier but he is going well enough to be competitive. POPPY POPSTAR (6) was out of the money two starts ago then things went wrong last start when she broke and finished a long last over 1 m at Maryborough. Facing a tougher assignment but a big run is possible if her race manners improve.
