STRAPPARSI (9) started favourite and looked to have every chance but found a couple better last start over 6 ½f at Ballina. Form over this trip reads a little better. Nicely placed to break a lengthy win drought. CRITICAL TIME (13) returned from a brief spell with an encouraging second over 5f here 24 days ago. Good second-up performer who will enjoy the longer trip. Great chance down in the weights. SINGLE TOUCH (3) has won two in a row, both over slightly shorter trips at this track in BM82 company. Won't have any trouble with the extra ½f or so. Stick with him. MAXIMUM VORTEX (4) closed strongly but failed to pick up the winner when fresh from a spell over 1½f at Beaudesert recently. Lightly raced five-year-old who has won 2/2 second-up. Likely to play a big role. ANDY (6) hasn't been far away of late and this is probably his pet trip. Needs luck from the draw but cannot be excluded.
