Tough. SCOUNDREL (5) wasn't far away at Ipswich before blitzing the 55 graders by 4L at Beaudesert as a $2.7F. He has weight relief and has raced well in town over a mile. Expect the form to stack right up for this contest. BLINDING SPEED (6) deserved her win on the Gold Coast poly and followed with a narrow defeat in a Beaudesert 60. Went close this trip at the Sunshine Coast three back and is a serious contender. BACCARAT ROUGE (8) scored over 7 ½f at Kilcoy in a 58, leading all the way. Has a handy 4lbs claim and will be hard to peg back. JEROME (10) turned in a strong run last time when second at Goondiwindi just six days ago. Backing up quickly over the longer journey. Jumps from a good gate and is in the mix.
