Verdict

The feature of the day sees KING OF LIGHT (2) return after a dominant debut campaign. He was far too good in a 2YO event as a $1.26 chance to end last campaign and his two trials this time in have been super. Looks well above average and can kick off on a winning note. TALKANCO (1) will need some luck from the barrier but she showed her class first-up when winning the Max Simmonds. Up to 6f looks a big tick off what she showed there and she looks ready to go to another level this campaign. Can build on the fresh victory. ZOURUN RUN (13) gained some followers through the winter months and looks to have returned in good order watching her latest trial. Right down in the weights today with Parnham sticking, giving her a good push for her chances. Not to be discounted. MARDUSA (4) had some fans in the Max Simmonds last start where he was good late. Further and fitter are both ticks. SNITZALATTE (10) looks ready for this trip now and is right in the mix.
