Verdict

SILVER EYE (3) went back-to-back last start over the 7 ½f at this track last time out, closing strongly to get the job done by 1.4L. He maps for a lovely run once again and the rise to the mile doesn't look an issue on what we've seen recently. Can continue his winning run. FAMOUS DAIN (5) flew home to steal the win last start as the race favourite and now gets Pike on board replacing the apprentice hoop. Third-up now and out to the mile, he ticks plenty of boxes and with further improvement in store, he'll be tough to hold out. NOTEWORTHY (6) had her chance last start when the race favourite, finishing behind Silver Eye. She's better than she showed there and CJP remains in the saddle. Can bounce back. RIVER RUBICON (2) wasn't far away last start and a repeat of that effort can see him in the finish. BATTLE COMMANDER (7) can find the front and dictate. Will take some catching.
