Verdict

MISSISSIPPI DAWN (11) was too good two starts back at Bunbury before a 0.7L defeat here a fortnight ago when flying home late in the race. She remains right down in the weights today and although she's likely to be back in the run, she's shown she has a bold finish. Can land the knockout blow. MAXWHOOSHTAPIN (1) stuck on strongly over this course and distance last time out when 0.9L off the winner in the same race as Mississippi Dawn. Continues to build with every run and rates a leading contender once again. AUDIO BOY (4) gets Pike in the saddle third-up today and has placed 2/3 when third-up in the past. The good barrier can see him settle much closer than we've seen in recent efforts and he's run some strong figures over this trip previously. Can end his winning drought. CAVALLO RED (2) steps up to this trip for the first time, but he's racing well and has to be included. MAJOR MARIO (5) can improve stepping up in distance.
