Verdict

BE BARDOT (4) was a dominant winner first-up before getting a long way back over 7f last time out and never featuring in the finish. She's always hinted she's better than we've seen and she gets a golden opportunity now third-up at the mile. Should be handy for Pike and get back to winning ways. FIRST ENCOUNTER (2) flew home first-up over 7f and clocked some good splits in the process. He's right back in grade today so does rise in weight, but he shapes as a horse better than this grade. May get back in the run again but looks well placed to put his best foot forward. DONT WAIT FOR LUCK (7) was very impressive at Kalgoorlie when bolting in at this grade when setting the tempo. Can roll forward from the barrier once again and if he can run up to what he did last start, he'll be hard to hold out. PROFIT POCKET (6) is better than we've seen her past couple but she's right in this if she's fit. CLASSIC ROGUE (5) is worth including off a good effort last start.
