Tough contest. BROOKLYN LIGHTS (7) improved sharply third-up when sat up on the pace and cleared out for a dominant win over 6 ½f at the Sapphire Coast. Has further upside to come and gets the right run. Expected to repeat the dose. MY INSPIRATION (19) pushed forward from a wide draw and had nothing left in the tank when a tiring tenth over 7f at Gundagai. Strips fitter and she gets a more economical run today. Genuine top-three chance. GRINZINGER NYX (16) snagged back from the wide draw at latest when a below par ninth over 7f at Echuca. Expected to roll forward from the better gate and represents each way value. IT'SBRUCE (12) talented gelding who strips fitter after resuming with a sound fourth over 6f at Echuca. Looking for further now and stays in the mix despite drawing poorly.
